Berta Solana is a contemporary artist from Madrid. She has shown her work in exhibitions since 1996 and received her Masters of Arts from the Complutense University of Madrid (UCM), graduating in 2003. Currently, her works are actively shown in galleries in Spain and Holland, with several private collections in Madrid, Valencia, Barcelona, and León.
Solana’s paintings aim to combine muted abstract backgrounds and the human form. Each of her works portray realistic depictions of people from behind, capturing the little moments of everyday life. Her works provoke feelings of connection, family, and belonging.
